I saw this article today and I have to say, I cannot believe this is an issue! I really hope we never live in a neighborhood with a ridiculous HOA like this. Our neighborhoods and our homes are places for our kids to grow and thrive. Building forts and exploring the outdoors is a part of childhood. If our streets are so "neat" and tidy that we can't handle the "unsightliness" of a child's fort, that's a problem.
Maybe this neighborhood needs to speak to Mr. Plumbean.
I'm not sure what I would do as the child's mother. Of course, I want so much to be a good neighbor and to teach my kids to value the people in their community- but...really? What do you think?
